Creepy Spy Guy Dish

This is wrong for so many reasons.

Minding your own business is one of those things that’s just right to do. Just because you’re curious about what your neighbors are arguing about doesn’t mean you have the right to spy on them and figure out what exactly it is.

It’s also cheaper than being a sneaky sleazebag.

Furniture Moving Made Easy

The good folks at Lifehacker have a posting about these furniture sliders called “Moving Men”.

furniture sliders, those little plastic disks that make moving that won’t-budge entertainment center across the room a breeze.

I have these at home and have been using them for years now. These things are freakin fantastic for moving heavy furniture when your buddies are “busy”.

Treo or Blackberry?

I’m in the middle of trying to figure out which mobile device I want to pick up. I’m leaning towards the Treo. I found this great post on The Apple Blog dot com which tackles this very question.

I need a PDA Cell Phone for my job, but I want to get one that will still work well with my [at-home] MacBook. I’m tied-in to Cingular, and have narrowed the field down to either the Treo 650, or the BlackBerry 7130. I’d like to know - from your own experiences - which is more OS X friendly.

Here are some of the things I’m looking for:
- Ability to easily stay up to date on Work email (exchange server)
- Good tie-in with my Outlook Calendar from work
- Ability to easily check my Gmail - probably through POP
- Bluetooth for syncing with my MacBook, as well as headset
- A good Speakerphone
- Decent web browsing.
- And obviously, happy integration with my Mac/OS X

The crowd seems to be leaning towards the Treo as well.

Mac OSX on the Sony UX-180p?

I am not going to say much other than you tell me.. I am running Mac OSX on my Sony UX-180p.. Now here is the kicker, I am also running parallels on the same box so if you think of it… Windows XP pro — Mac OSX— back to Windows XP Pro? Has this been done? Why would I do it? Either way you tell me how I did it!

Well this guy has discovered either one of two things. The first is rather obvious, Parallels Desktop, and the other may well be Photoshop. Is this real or a hoax?

Self Destruct Button

There have been soooooo many times that I wished I had something like this, that worked. This is very cool. But,

all that happens when you press the button is a “Kill Kill Kill” audio file from your computer. But we’re sure some enterprising programmer will make a small app to intercept the signal and do something neater—like wiping out your hard drive.

Homemade Robot Lock Cracker

Here is a very cool post on a robot lock picking machine. This machine can apparently pick a lock in 30 minutes. Not all that amazing when you consider a human could do it in 10 minutes. Still this is quite interesting.

Coffee For The Spoon Impaired

Now here is a product that I can’t help but love. Being a coffee junkie I can fully appreciate this cup when I get to the machine in the office only to find there are no stir sticks.

Surely there are people out there who don’t believe in or own spoons, right? Because besides being extremely lazy, spoonlessness is the only reason to own a gadget like this. This coffee mug, from Hammacher Schlemmer, features a miniature propeller at the bottom of the mug that will spin at 3000 rpms mixing whatever additives you like into a frothy morning beverage. The propeller is activated with a button on the handle and the entire unit is powered by a couple AA’s. It is available for $30.

Funny as hell. I might have to pick one up just to see if it works as advertised.
